And also reloading stuff. We went to the Outpost (Ronnie Barrets place) to get my son's WASR and ammo has gone up some. But reloading stuff-Damn! 4350 is 28.99 for a pound. I looked in my stash and found a price tag on my last purchased can of 4350 and it was 15.99. The more things change, the more they suck.

I'm good on everything but 9mm and .45

I keep several K for each of my rifle calibers.

Yeah I figured I was preaching to the choir. This might be how they get us.

You gotta figure oil prices are up which means gas and diesel prices are up which means anything delivered/shipped is costing more. The price of copper is way up. Ammo is no different than anything else. When the base materials and transportation/production costs go up the price has to as well. Even so that price seems pretty high. Wideners is out of stock at the moment but had 4350 for $18 a pound. Some of their other powders that ARE in stock are priced the same.

Everything's fixin to appreciate in value... except our paychecks...

Ammo is still priced well and I agree - now's the time to sock it in if you haven't already...

For me, bring on the zombies! :machinegun:

The golden age of surplus is over, we are going back to the way it was before 1985.

Thats the way it seems. Stock up on 7.62x54 and 5.45 if you can shoot them.

I'm hoping ammo prices stay steady or drop some before the next show in April. I'm OK on powder but primers are something I might buy a few of. About the only ammo I buy anymore is 7.62 X 39 & 54R, although I did just get some X25 in.

I hear ya, Altarboy................I'm OK with ammo but a little lean on reloading components. I'll take inventory tomorrow and order on Monday.

Now loading some 9mm sub-sonic for the suppressor, but need to load some 7.62X54r.

I'd just like some more 7.62x39, and yugo 7.62x25.....Although, I think I may start limiting my shooting of my tokarevs. Begin shooting my beretta m9 a bit more, as I can more easily restock 9mm then tokarev at this point.

For anybody wondering where the best deals are on ammo = we have a sticky down in the ammunition forum in the Armory with this information.

I'm going to the fun show next Saturday, I hope to find some deals on ammo. I'd like another 1K of 5.56 and 1K of 9mm. But the way things have been going I doubt the whores will be offering anything less than a raping. :yuch:

Yea just got back from the market. The same loaf of bread I bought last week for $2.50 is now $3.89 :duh: The store manager told me it's going to get a lot worse because the cost of wheat, flower and fuel has gone through the roof. We are seeing the noticeable impact now, it's only a matter of time. Get your ammo and food stores in order people it's almost doubble zero time.

Damn, we is good at bitchin about stuff aren't we?

Me included - not picking on anybody - just making an observation.

We need to do something about this and everything else that's wrong with our country.

A march on DC demanding the outster of zero would be a start. Follwed by demands for austerity and complete and imediate reform of the federal govenrment, welfare, foriegn aid, our military, etc. 10 million people closing down the capital should do it.

That's what needs to happen.

We have a "discount" chain here called Aldi's. Their price of skim milk is $2/gal., eggs are $1.19 doz. for Grade A Large, plain white bread is $0.79/20 oz loaf. ShopnSave is the next closest in price and their milk is about $2.89; eggs $1.59; and bread is $1.19. ShopnSave's prices on certain foods has gone up by about 50% in the last 3-4 months.

Just be thankful you can still buy food and gas.

Although food and gas will be available; affording them may be a different subject.

I agree it's time for action, long overdue. If we could only mobilize enough people to flood DC and have some high profile speakers I'd be in all the way, sign me up.

+1, that is going to be the very thing. It will take a wheel barrel full of dollars to buy a loaf of bread in no time at this rate.

I have slightly under 1K pistol ammo (9mm and .45 ACP). .22LR I'm ashamed to admit.... I only have 2 boxes of 100 rounds each!

Got lots of 5.56 and x39 though.

At one time 2 50 cal ammo cans full was considered alot, I think we are working our way back to that again.

I have a good bit of pistol ammo, not as much as I would like for rifle. Thing is. Every time that I do shoot. I think of the money going down range that I might not be able to replace!

Warlord

1K rounds per weapon. I'm a bit light on the pistol ammo, not going to go too crazy with that. I will however pick up at least 500 rounds of 9mm this weekend at the fun show if the deals are decent. If you ask why 9mm, simple it is the most common, the NATO standard and that is what I will carry as a sidearm (M9) if the balloon goes up. Ammo, weapon compatibly / standardization will be SOP.

I'm already there- only .22lr, 9mm, 12 GA, 5.56/.223 and .308/7.62N. I abandoned 7.62X39 two years ago.

I might someday get a 300 win mag but only if the Army keeps using it.

I just want you to know this thread made me spend $80 on brass yesterday. It's all your fault!
