As a Georgia resident, clean record, and I also have a GA "CCW" permit...

But what about "Open Carry"?

Any of my fellow Georgians actually know that GA statute/law?

Do I need an open carry permit?

Where can I open carry in a mall?

You can open carry all day long.I wouldnt do it in a mall though.
Your permit is good for open or concealed.
You can also go here http://gacarry.org/. Everything you need to know.
There is also here. http://www.georgiapacking.org/index.php

Can I "open carry" in these Georgia Locations? :

-Gas Station - pump, then go inside to pay?
-Target?
-Walmart?
-Home Depot?
-Applebee's/Chili's/Friday's/Long Horn's - assuming I'm not drinking alcohol at these places?
-Walking downtown Atlanta on the sidewalk in the middle of the city?

Join GPDO and GCO already.

You can legally open carry anywhere you can legally concealed carry. I have OC'd at the following places when I lived in Georgia:
Wal Mart, Target, Quicktrip, The Original Pancake House, Piedmont Park, Freedom Park, The Vortex, Kroger, Publix, Waffle House, downtown Atlanta, all around Midtown, Roswell, Alpharetta. If there is a gunbuster posted, you probably shouldn't do it. In fact, I do not frequent any business that chooses to disarm me as a matter of their policy unless I absolutely have to.

Hell, I went to OC breakfasts and other events as well. You can drink while OCing. I've done it socially, gotten some flack, but my rule is this: If I'm drinking socially, I carry and drive. If I'm drinking and celebrating with friends, I don't carry and I don't drive. A little bit of common sense goes a long way in life.

If a business does take issue with you OCing, all they can ask you to do is leave. If you don't immediately, they can charge you with trespassing. I did, however, always carry one of these (http://www.bigboxstore.com/spy-digital-video-audio-dvr-camera-camcorder-pen.html) on me. Never hurts to have an impartial witness.

Honesty Mark, for someone who's been such a longtime gunowner, I'm a bit surprised.

Neat little device Lysander.

It's a bit of insurance that has been worth its weight in gold for several guys I know in Georgia.
