it's too bad the republic of Texas didn't press their advantage and go ahead and conquer Mexico

Those defenders are flipping right now seeing how the invasion is still going strong and no one is really stopping it.

Are you a complete moron? Texas had a population of 25,000 and were not a part of the USA but an independent nation. Mexico had a population over 13,000,000 and their army was bigger than the total population of Texas. If Santa Anna hadn't massacred the defenders of the Alamo he might not have gotten his butt whipped so bad but that didn't mean the Texans had enough power even with volunteers from the states to go down and conquer Mexico.

The problem wasn't back then but our immigration policies since WWII and a weak candy ass administrative policy regarding border security. Dump the stupid war on drugs on top of that mess and it was a disaster waiting to happen. Today we are paying the price.

With all due respect to those who fought so gallantly at the Alamo, there are people today who don't even remember the World Trade Center, so how can we expect them to remember the Alamo? How sad.
