Picked one up today, a fascinating little thing! No pics yet so here's a couple from google to see what I'm talking about:

One side of the case has a honing stone. The blade is put on the roller in the center and, well, rolled back and forth. The blade flips over as you push and pull the center roller back and forth to sharpen both sides. You put the "lid" back on, flip the case over, remove what's now the top and do it over again because the other part of the case is leather lined to act as a strop. You remove the blade from the roller, slide it onto the handle and you now have a razor!
