I've found the Czech Silvertip to be pretty accurate in my Mosins. Don't know if the Romanian is the same or not? Maybe one can of it and the Russian.

Agreed but it kicks harder then the Romanian. But i think the Romanian is more accurate without the silver point that i have shot. So i now give up and say buy a can of each. To silver tip or not to silver tip. That is the question.

I always go with the brass case if possible (unless Albanian)

The Russian 54R from the 1980's forward is good stuff in my experience. Never had any of the Romanian. IF it's also from 80's forward I would think it to be reliable and pretty accurate. But ultimately each Mosin is a lesson on to itself. They often like totally different surplus to get best performance. My advise is to try some, say 40 rounds maybe then if it does well, order the hell out of it.
