I have ordered a new 22mm fsb for the gun. It does not come with the plunger pin or spring or any of the pins to hold it on. I am confused with the plunger set up, with my Chinese AK the plunger was held in place by the front pin. The 74 has a pin hole high up (inline with the plunger hole) but it is behind where the spring will be. How is this all held together?

Also where do I get all these pins, what dia. are they and what drill bit sizes do I need. Going to attempt the trade out on my own ... need all the help I can get.

Was thinking about trading out the neutered gas block also ... any help is appreciated. Thanks. :coffee:

Ahhh ... I think I figured something out. You place the pin and spring in from the rear and the threads hold the pin on the front and the pin holds the spring from the rear. Man that cup of coffee sure did help.

I guess that helps ... so where do I get the pins and bits .... hmmmm.

Also looks like the rear sight block is canted ... easy fix or not?

OK good news. The FSB is off had to drill out the pins. The gas block is off, the pins punched out. The rsb was canted but has had the pin removed and knocked over to remove the cant.

I will need to redrill the rsb and use an oversized pin. Any suggestions as to what size and if you drill the same size as the pin? Thanks.

When the fsb and gb arrive I will put them back on. How do you put the gb on without a press? Thanks.
