A fellow forum member is trying to track down some lead core 7.62x54r for use on ranges that prohibit steel core ammo. Anyone know where any can be found? TIA

You mean soft points Richard. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=AP76254SP150&name=Prvi+Partizan+PPU+7.62x54R+150grn+SP+20rd+Box&groupid=40

Or FMJ with a lead core?

Soft points might work but I/he was looking more for any kind of surplus that didn't have a steel core projectile.

Look for the Yugo newer production, it is lead core, as is older 1950's L type bullet.

I purchased a case of Yugo NNY 54R back in 2002. It's brass case and copper jacket and my mosin loves it.
