Yea i busted ARSE... getting that bolt carrier polished... i normally work on car engine parts to polish them up... i start out with 800 wet grit sand paper an work all my way up... 800 1000 1200 1500 2000 .... yes it takes about 2 to 3 hours for each sanding... Then i finish off the mother Aluminum polish... You should of seen this huge datsun inline 6 aluminum valve cover i worked on.. it took me 100 hours...

I know its a real Russian grip and all that but if you close your eyes and grip on this, shoulder it and shoot 500 rounds (eyes open) I'd bet you'd agree the Tapco is a more efficient grip. All I ask is try it...................

I dobt like the tapco grip, reminds me of gripping a .50 desert eagle which is to me akin to a brick.

i will admit the rubber grip with the finger groves feels like im holding a 357 mag with a rubber grip.. even thou its nice an eazy i like the orignal look of akm ak47 style rifles... come on now how many ak47s have you seen that look like mine ? plus if i wanted a lighter recoil i honestly do not need the rubber grip .

I already have a us made ak74 style recoil muzzle break plus i know with a recoil buffer it brings the recoil down alot ! Im happy with my wasr 10/63 now with a sar 1 that doesnt have a threaded muzzle brake the only way to go is with the recoil buffer.

My tapco "SAW" style grip would need to be tightened all the time, and moved on me a little here and there...not impressed, esp. with the stubby hardware used to attache it, nor the way the trap door closed. OTOH it let me store some matches and cord untill I sold the rifle.:ak2:
