My trust is up and running so I am looking at SBR either a 10.3 or 10.5 AR or Draco pistol conversion I have all the stuff from building my AK's and I am mechanical inclined.

What one would you would choose I am torn between the 7.62 x 39 for close in vs 5.56 that may have a shorter O.A.L. and better accuracy I have ammo for both.

Well, the 5.56 is probably (IMO) going to loose a greater amount of its effectiveness because of speed loss.

The only reason I haven't SBR'd my Draco is that I could buy a whole new AK for the price of the parts from ACE plus the tax stamp.

Honestly, I'd want both. But, this does look pretty good.

The good thing about SBRing a lower is you can do so many things with it. I have suppressed .22 SBR uppers, SBR 7.62x39 uppers, SBR 5.56 uppers and I'm trying to figure out a way to do a .45ACP upper, now.

Yeah, then you can put a folding stock on it.

You bring up a good point I have a spare upper minus a few small parts already I can get a barrel almost ready to go for 300 plus the 200.00 for the stamp sounds like the route I will take for now but you have to admit the draco project is interesting maybe latter once I get this one done I may take on the draco latter.
