Anyone out there have a Ruger 10/22 and a Henry AR-7? I was wondering if the front sights are interchangeable? I found some really cool fiber optic front sights for the 10/22 and they look like they would fit my gun. Anyone have them that could check for me?

Hello nimby i belive to answer your question is that they are both differant front sight posts... im 99.98% sure the ruger 10-22 front sight post will not fit your henry ar-7 but none the less if you are handy with a dremel an at least 20 or 30 min of your time an test fiting anything is really possable.

arent they just dovetailed?

usualy 3/8" is pretty standard for ANY gun site dovetail. they should fit, the problem would be with the height of them, weather you will ba able to use them.

They are both dove-tailed. That is why I was thinking they would work. I didn't know if there was a standard dove-tail size. I know rear sights are totally different. The rear peep on the AR is adjustable up and down for elevation. That would mean I could just adjust the rear to compensate for the difference in height of the front, if there is one, right?

if you have enough adjustment, and also, im not familiar with the ar7, but if the sights calibrated for drop they will be off too.
