It's just dumb. People don't choose to be the color they are. Any thinking person knows the Black Panthers and other groups are racist. Or at the very least racial. At one time there was probably something of a need for them, in order to assert equality.

And in truth there is probably still a need for groups like the NAACP, but it's lessened and that's a good thing.

I'm Damn proud to be white! I am proud of my heritage, but pride in ones heritage does not condone calling anyone who is not white a "Nigger", "Spic", "Kike", and all of the other trash that is spewn out of most (But not all) of the posters on that website. Just curious why is this thread brings out the animosity in members here towards other members?

Let me try to put this in layman's terms for everyone.

Here is the way I see it... For many years Guns Network has been home for members from different ethnic backgrounds. Nothing wrong with having pride in your ethnicity, but when it defines you "against" other Americans who believe in not being judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Then that is where we as members here should and will draw the line, of what is acceptable here or not.

I dunno but it's not just our culture that seems to perceive fair skin as superior.


There are a lot of hispanics locally and I've noticed those who are "weto"[light skin, blond or light brown hair] are usually held in higher regard and usually reach a higher social status than those who are dark and "Indian" looking.

Even among blacks it seems like there are a disproportionate number of light skinned negroes in leadership roles and they seem to rise to a higher status than the really dark "African" looking members of their culture.


But what's really odd is whites like to get a good tan and darken up a bit.
