Guns are loaded, I am sober, ready to shoot, range is available, I just need a target/targets I can copy and print out.

If it ever stops raining that is.

Don't forget to send me a PM to get my mailing address and drop me off yours if you are going to be in the competition. Also is everybody OK with a $10 buck fee to be used for purchase of trophies and mailing them out to the winners?

BTW guys when you send in your payment make sure you include the following:

Full name and mailing address
Your on screen nickname.
Tell me if you're in for all 3 legs; pistol, bolt gun and self loader events. The total of these 3 less your worst score of the 4 months of competition will make up your total score in the Gunsnet C&R Grand Champion Match of 2011.

Is that $10 a leg or just to enter? I need to know how much to send.

$10 gets you all 3 legs; pistol, bolt rifle, self loading rifle.

I suppose if a person only want's to enter 1 or 2 of the 3 total legs of the Championship $4 per event would be a good fee.

Sorry if I'm on the back side on this: Where in the US is this happening?

Sorry if I'm on the back side on this: Where in the US is this happening?

It's happening in your back yard if that's a 50 yard class space. This is a postal match. You send in your funds, I send back the targets for May, June, July and August. You will get 1 official pistol, 1 official bolt gun and 1 official self loading rifle target for each month of the competition. For practice, just photo copy them. When you think you're dialed in go for the 1 recored target that will be stamped in a way that I know it's the one I sent out. Your end of season total score will be the best 3 efforts in any leg of the match; pistol, bolt gun or slef loading rifle. So if you have a month where you fall down completely it may not prevent a win.

The distances for the rifles is 50 yards, any military position. Meaning, standing, sitting, kneeling or prone. No shooting off a bench rest, though no way to verify that so it is an honor thing. Handgun is 25 yards. All weapons to be C&R weapons.

The ones I'm using as an example; Pistol a Belgian Police Hi-Power, Bolt Gun a Schmidt Ruben K31 and Self Loading class, an M1 Garand. Ammo to be surplus if you have it or ammo that comes as close as possible to approximating it. This is also an honor thing as there's no way to tell if you go Sierra Match king on it. If you don't have any surplus then go commercial ammo or handloads. In my case I have no 9 mm surplus, but I do have bulk 124 gr. FMJ hand loads by the thousands in my inventory.

There will be a small trophy for each leg of the match, high winner gets the trophy. 2nd and 3rd gets an atta boy. High over all shooter for all 3 legs times 3 months that will be counted is the C&R Grand Champion of 2011.

My payment is signed, sealed and waiting to drop in the USPS box in the morning. All 3 legs. If I don't get to the May targets in time... I will just have to shoot that much better the last 3 months to make up for it. ;)

So.....if returned targets are postmarked by May 31st, do they get scored?

As long as they get here by the 15th of June I don't care what cancelation mark it has on it. Same each month, everyone has until the 15th of each month following the month of competition to get the targets to me.

Got that and a bit more.
It'll save on gas by not going to Owl Hollow.

Owl Hollow is where I use to shoot at when I lived in TN. Do the Haffner's still own it?

Charlie, Sr. passed a few yrs. ago.
Charlie, Jr. owns and runs it now.
The gun club is defunct, but it's still open to the public for $40 a yr.

I stuck this thread as it says how to get in on the matches. Send me a PM at Gunsnet to get my mailing address. Then send in $10 for all 3 events or $4 bucks per individual event. It's that simple, so simple even Old Grump can do it! :lool:

Sorry OG, just kidding.
