I was going through my inventory of replacement parts for my WASR 10s and think that I have everythng that I need but want to see if I missed anything.
So far I have.
Spare spring sets
Spare bolts
Spare gas pistons
Spare firing pins
Spare fire control groups
Spare mag releases
Are there any other items that I should pick up now while the prices are reasonable?

extra furniture and mag parts, both are probably going to get damaged before the internal stuff

I always say the best spare parts for an AK is another AK of the same type. :D

I've never broken anything on an AK.
That says a lot for them.

Ammo and mags are the only thing I can think of.

You might consider extra bolt carriers, trunnions (front and rear) barrels and receivers. Then take all those spares and build more rifles...:bigsmilebounce:

Well I have the "ak" illness. Initially I wanted a good trunk gun, got that one, my son took a liking to it, so I bought another one, figured if anything happened to that one I'd need another one, so....Yep I have 3 now. But that's not all, went nuts on mags, drums, and ammo. Somebody stop me! It has to be some form of addiction, and I'm hooked. Maybe they have AKA meetings.......

Sounds like you are SOL.
There is no medication or cure for AK addiction.
The only way to stop this disease, is to go broke, which is possible at the rate you're going. :eyebrows:

One thing you might consider, is the gas tube. If you drop it hard, on a rocky surface, it could dent in the side, preventing the piston from moving. While you could remove it and fire without it, there would be a blast of gas from the gas block. You would have to wear a helment with a face sheild to keep from burning your eyes. Realisticly speaking, there is little that goes wrong with the AK, over many decades of use. You can fire it under water, fire it at -80F, fire it with mud and gravel in it and the mag; and you can run over it with three trucks, a tank, and the Iranian HS Marching Band,...and it still fires.
