My only real complain is with the buffer tube screw in the butt plate. I screwed it in as far as I could but there is just a little bit of slop in the butt stock. I can't wait to shoot it.
This might sound silly, but did you remember to put in the "buttstock spacer"? Only thing I can think of that might explain your "slop".
Looks nice.

Yup, it is in. From what I can tell, without it I wouldn't have been able to get the buttstock to tighten at all. But, I did use it, and as a final check, I had no left over parts!

An outstanding combat rifle if there ever was one.

Nice - well done!
Remove the screw and grind a bit off of the end - it might be hitting the end of the channel....

Looks great! Where's your kit from, Del-Ton?

It is a Del-Ton A3 upper on a Aero Percision lower.

How tight is the pin lockup of the upper to the lower. Any rock or movement between the two? This does effect weapon accuracy.

Looking good. I have the parts for my first build on order. Del-ton upper and plum crazy lower. Not much building required. Kinda trying to ease into it.

I have noticed no movement except for the between the butt stock and the lower, and that is just about 1/32 or less fore and aft movement. Everything esle seems very tight.

There is something not milspec going on here.

Shorten the bolt as was advised so it can draw in tighter. 1/32 nd inch, possibly 2 to 3 threads shorter should do it.

Nice...same situation for myself, except I used a Del-Ton lightweight kit on an AP lower.

I added an accu wedge on mine as it had a tiny bit of side to side play. Everything is nice and tight now.

I agree..
the only other thing is the nub on the stock that holds it in place to the reciever is not correct.. and i dought that

If you don't have a grinder at your disposal, pick up a countersunk washrer or nylon / fiber washer at your local hardware store. It will settle in the counter sunk hole and take up the slop nicely.

Hell yeah, the best config for an AR IMHO.
As a matter of fact... he built the same first rifle I did...

I have adjusted the fore-end so the front sight BUIS fold down rewards, and put a sling on it since then though. One of my favorite guns easy... mostly cause the time I put into it.
