New member to the AK family!

Bought my first AK a few days ago. Nice Romy G kit, near perfect condition. Changed out the wood furniture to some brand new ones.

Cant wait to hit the range. Anyhow, just wanted to say hello and introduce my self!!

    Cool

Welcome to Gunsnet.net and that's a really nice looking weapon! What brand of ammo do you have to feed it?

Just russian steel cased surplus. Havent tested it yet, but confident it will work. I bought it from my local police Sargent in my city who put maybe 100 rounds in it. It will eat anything he said. Got a nice Romania strap for it as well.

welcome to the forum.....and the AK addiction!

the muzzle brake looks like an AR style birdcage to me. and yes, most AKM variants eat anything you feed them and ask for more.....LOTS more. you better have a good amount of ammo on hand for that first range trip or you may burn what you have up too quick and wish you had more.

    just sayin'!

    New AK47

I also just got my first AK47, the wood was in terrible condition so I installed the Tactical quad rail. Now I am seeing some very nice AK's with good looking wood. My next AK will have new dark laminated wood.

what type of quad rail is this? it looks great.

Actually it is not a quad rail. It is an Advanced Technology AK Strikeforce Handguard AKA3500 I got at J&B for $49.95. I wish now I had gotten the Aluminum model for $10 more.
