    New gun! Chiappa Rhino .357

Chiappa Rhino .357 6" target model, nickel finish. Range report next weekend. Stopped into a shop today looking for maybe a Ruger 22/45, Charger, or 10/22. Walked out with this. Ultimate impulse buy.

If I had a dollar for every time CAPITALISM was blamed for problems caused by the GOVERNMENT, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap.

12 string guitars only have 6 extra strings, but they're 85 TIMES as likely to be used in a song about wizards.

I got the model from Bandai.

    It was kinda pricey. $924.

When I bought my S&W 386 Night Guard a couple of months ago, I was actually looking for a 6" .357 to use as a range toy. When I went in today looking for a .22, I saw this revolver (first time I've seen one in person). It fits my hand and balances perfectly (the only comparison I have to this feeling of perfection is the first time I picked up a Sig 220). Trigger pull is smooth and light. It's lighter than it looks, but feels like it's built like a tank. They had this one, another 6" in black, a 4" in nickel, and a 2" in black with rubber grips. Prices ranged from $750 to $924.

They were getting a lot of attention from customers, with opinions divided between "that's the coolest revolver I've ever seen!" and "that's the ugliest revolver I've ever seen!" They got a phone call about them while I was there, and several other people were looking at them. The salesman said that they are selling about as fast as they can get them in, with the 6" being the most popular. He said they just started getting them with the nickel finish, previously black and stainless were the only finishes.

I'm betting I get at least one "what the hell is that thing?" when I take it to the range next weekend (have to work this Saturday, so no range for me this weekend).

I've handled them before, of the models I handled I like the one you got the most. I think you made the best choice.

Waiting for a range report as well.

The 2" seemed a little clunky for carry, a J-Frame S&W fills the role better, for less money, has more holster options, and I already have a 340PD and a 642. The 4" seemed too big for a carry revolver (if you're not going to carry it, you might as well get those extra 2") and the target sights on the 6" were far better than the blade-type sight on the 4". I spent a little time trying to decide between nickel and black for the 6" (nickel was only $35 more, so price didn't factor into my finish choice). The blocky design makes for a very handsome gun in black, but the nickel one just grew on me the more I handled it.

I guess I should say I've handled the blued and stainless version before, that is the first nickel one I've seen. I like stainless alot but prefer the look of nickel more.

Fires from the bottom of the cylinder, not the top.

Designed by the guy who made the Mateba Autorevolver.

Salesman said the nickel is new. They can only get one nickel in each barrel length at a time.

I think the 6" is fairly new too. The longest used to be a 5" model. I don't think the 5" will sell well with the addition of the 6". If you're moving up from the 4", you might as well get the extra inch. The 6" also adds rails on the top that you don't get with the 5".

The nickel version of the Rhino 60DS must be new. It's not even on their website yet.
