    Gun trade problems

    Gentlemen,

I traded a rifle for a carbine and since the prices were near one another and I liked the carbine more than my rifle, I did the trade.

Now for the problem, the gun was painted (spray) and it looks like sh*t. The gun works fine (shoots with no problems), but the painting wasn't mentioned in our deal. The guy will not answer my emails!!

What can I do? What are my options?

    Thanks

Learn to refinish it yourself. BTW, what type of carbine is it, AR15 or an M1 Carbine of some sort, etc.?

It the PS90 was poorly refinished, it would be pretty easy to redo it yourself since the original was a painted receiver.

The only issue would be if the other person refinished the plastic. If that is the case you are pretty much stuck with either replacing it or trying to refinish it yourself to a more pleasant look. If it is the plastic, there is no safe way I know of to remove the paint without ruining the plastic under it.

    Question

Was this a face to face deal? Did this trade take place on an internet forum? What were the terms of the deal, what was the description of the firearm, photos, was an FFL involved, etc? Really need more details. Most deals aren't considered complete unless both parties are satisfied and most do or should include a reasonable inspection period.
