Somebody could have mentioned this earlier, Last night was a pain killer night when I woke up with cramps at 0330 hrs but if I gotta I gotta. Well at least I know I'm on paper this time, I won't have to shoot 5 targets at 10 shots a target.

And last, here is the 41 year old rifle I used. It is a Remington Model 581L (Left handed). I told my Dad I wanted a bolt action rifle with a clip (I was young and didn't know it was actually a magazine), and this is what I got. I have been very happy with it.

i got .970"

rules were seated position, no rest, 50 yds. these were obeyed. i wont tell you how i cheated, youll have to figure that out

Some old Remington Thunderbolt. I try to shoot that through my bolt action rifle instead of running it through my SIG Mosquito. The SIG has never had a problem with it, but that connical shapped bullet concerns me with regards to feeding.

Here it is...

Shot with a Savage Mark II F (Walmart special) that I bought used for $90.
This group was shot according to the rules along with 2 others... this was the best of the 3.

Then I tried prone and fired 2 more groups and this was still the best group. I really think this rifle should shoot better than that, going to have to do some tune up work on it. Was using some bulk pack Walmart (Federal or Rem) I can't remember... box fell apart so rounds are in a ziplock bag now.

Rained this morning and even after it dried up a little this afternoon I was still to sore to get in the sitting position so all you guys win by default. I will go back and get my 'Dick and Jane' book and work on my reading comprehension skills.

I wonder if they still make those? If they did it has probably been rewritten to comform with our multi-culturalism multi-ethnic, multi-gender societal norms now.
