    Curious if the favorable observation regarding the recoil and impulse isn't related to the additional 3lbs of mass this weapon carries over the typical AR platform?

    I'm sure it does in fact make a difference. A 9lbs 5.56mm rifle is going to be a pussycat.

    Another very well done review.

    I think the biggest thing that kills HK stuff for me (and i own a few of their rifles) is that they have so much proprietary stuff. I welcome innovation on their part, but requiring special tools for simple user-level operations or needlessly changing things like the mag well don't do them any favors.

    The weight of the gun is a no-go too. The same thing killed the ACR for me. 9lbs is the weight of a .308 not a .223.
