You would move back to Michigan? Hmmm. If Michigan is anything like Minnesota, you can have it.

I can handle the cold and snow a lot better than this heat and humidity.

    Come on Fall.

Yea I'm with Slamfire, I can handle the weather here in western NY. Cooler weather means oiling up the guns for fall hunting, winter is for project guns and maintenance....I can almost taste the turkey now.

Well, we set a record yesterday, 112!!! today, the verdict isn't in yet, but it is close to a record.

    My outlook is; 109 tomorrow, then 108, 107, 107, 107, 103, 102, 100, 98. At least it is tapering to the mild 90's

I think I could handle the mid-upper 90s if the humidity was as low as it is there.

Yeah, when we get 25%, or more humidity, it sucks... And most here whine a lot!

Don't know if you would and if you did you are truly crazy, then I hope it only happens to your area not mine.

I have to vote no to ice storms!

Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

Is a new Little Ice Age coming? What's the rule about questions in headlines again?
By Tom Chivers Environment Last updated: June 16th, 2011

We ran a story – a perfectly acceptable scientific story – about sunspot activity, the solar 11-year cycle, and predictions by sun-studiers that the next up-swing in solar activity will be less dramatic than usual. It may, even, not happen at all. The peak is expected in 2013, it will wane after that, and then, 11 years later, it may not pick up. It’s interesting.

A previous drop in sunspot activity called the Maunder Minimum, in the 17th and 18th centuries, coincided with the so-called “Little Ice Age”, a time when the Thames froze and all of Europe suffered particularly harsh winters. It is speculated, but unproved, that the Minimum contributed to the Little Ice Age. Our headline, rather breathlessly, asked “New Little Ice Age in store?” This encouraged* m’colleague James Delingpole to write an entertaining “10 reasons to be cheerful about the coming ice age” in which he offered to feed a local government official to polar bears, if I read it correctly.

So, is a new Little Ice Age in store? Well, remember the rule: if the headline is a question, the answer is almost certainly no.

If I didn't know any better I would say the author is trying to convince us that real scientists say it is going to colder and hotter when it wants to no matter what we say or wish for and their ain't a damn thing we can do about it.

That is why I have short sleeve shirts and long johns in the same dresser drawer. If you don't like the weather today wait a minute.

I might be a little on the crazy side, but I'm sane enough to know I'd swap this friggen heat for some snow, ice, or just a pleasant cool Fall day.

    The grass is always greener...

If I could afford it(but can't at the moment, at least we have great renters), I would live at the Idaho house from May thru september or so, then spend the rest of the time here in 'Vegas. No A/C needed up there, and very little heater needed during a Las Vegas winter!

    Maybe soon!
