    Got the tractor!

Well, I bought the tractor anyway - my buddy in Miss. will get to play with it for a while... he's keeping it for me until I move there. I acted now to get the zero % financing.

It's a Kubota L3200 with front end loader and land pride bush hog - looks like this without the back hoe:

This is a diesel, 4x4 with hydrostatic drive.

Another thing checked off the list.

Thanks - I researched several different brands. Looked at the Mahindras - they are more expensive than the Kubotas! Kubota is actually one of the best deals - and the zero % financing just made it hard to pass up.

My buddy took delivery of it this morning. He's parking it under a shed-roof for me.

I told him to go ahead and use it if he wanted to - his tractor doesn't have a bucket on it... but he probably won't use it.

I'm going back in a few weeks and we will both go over to my property with our tractors to mow the trails there.

He's really excited to be able to hunt my place this fall - I've been hunting his property for 10 years - got several nice 8 point+ bucks off of his place, and now I can repay his kindness

My place is just hopping with deer - perfect habitat for em.

    It's not for sale!

Just kidding - these go for $18K and change as shown - here's the actual tractor right after it was delivered to my buddy's place in Miss.

I could've saved money on the bush hog but I decided that since that's the one implement that I will be using the most that I'd get a good one.

Congratulations OSOK you did well. Looks just like mine. Might I suggest you get a tooth bar for the bucket. Otherwise the bucket just wants to skim over the dirt. With the tooth bar you can crowd up limbs and other debris without digging up dirt and it makes the bucket 100% useful for digging, lifting logs etc...

The bucket comes in handy if you get it stuck too. I have dug out many beaver dams with mine and use the bucket to push myself back out of the creek.

You will definitely like the Hydrostatic. Makes it so much easier to maneuver in tight places.

    You will not regret it.

Forgot to mention that in addition to helping you dig and crowd up debris better it also adds rigidity to the bottom of the bucket and gives you some hooking points for nylon straps when you are picking things up with the bucket.

There is nothing as useless as a bucket that is bowed down in the middle because you tried to pry up a stump with it....................

It is a small, compact type tractor - perfect for what I need for my land. The 4x4 really allows you to make full use of the bucket and also is excellent for preventing bogging down and getting stuck.

I can't wait to get back and mow my trails.

Heck Yah! I have been clearing 20 AC ( 12 done so far) with a machette and herbicie ( branding and spraying) what I would not do to be able to spend that 18 K and knock the scheiss down with a tractor... if I was able!
