Tokarev makes: which are good and wich are to be avoided?

lately I have been eyeballing a Tokarev for a general range and beater pistol: nothing fancy but nothing unreliable. The CZ 52's aren't as cheep as they once where and I have yet to find any locally so my question is this: of the Romanian, polish, Russian, Yugo Tokarevs which are a pleasure to shoot and which are best used as wall hangers/paper weights? are the Romanian safeties any good or is it much like the Yugo's & just for show( more or less)?

as always I thank you for your time, patience and replies.

most are good. case by case basis for any issues.

    Dont forget the Norincos.

ONly one I had issues with is the norinco 213 9mm. the hammer would fall from half cock if the trigger was pulled.

    Ditto.

I've had a Polish one, Russian import, and two Chinese in 7.62 tok and they've all been very nice shooters.

i heave the first class m57 zastava without safety, beacuse i dont need this in my country. And the gun is made of real steel and parts, its better than any other tokarev copy. The m57 is the best gun of tokarevs is better than russian tt-33 original, beacuse the yugoslavian zastava has improved this gun:1 bullet more, than the recoil spring is better and stronger. The new tokarevs of yugo are less quality like mine of 1 class or build.thahts my baby with compensator.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

    Very cool!

Which country are you from? I'm assuming one of the Balkan states.

    Very nice setup there.

I recently bought a Yugo M57 for my collection & I have to say it's a nice shooter. Got it unfired for $235.
