    Based on the criteria in the article, I would be inclined to say "Yes".
    That being said, my .243 with my reloads (ranging in weight from 60 gr. to 100 gr.) is capable of giving me a 200 yd. zero smaller than the palm of my hand. The 60 gr. loads are good for feral dogs, coyotes, racoons, opossums, and groundhogs (woodchucks). The 75 gr. HPs can handle the same varmints but are also effective on 2-legged varmints (with good shot placement). The 100 gr. SPs cover everything from 2-legged varmints to good-sized deer.
    But it IS a bolt action and slower to shoot with limited capacity compared to the "ranch rifle" and the mini-14.
