(I'm thinking SHTF you guys may be just thinking fun.)
Actually, I am just thinking fun. I have my SHTF gun selection down to my .45's, AR, Mini, AK's and MAS 49/56 and possibly my Marlin 1894SS .44 Mag depending on the situation (i.e. "Less scary cowboy gun"). The rest of my guns are for shits and giggles.

Oh, and I have a progressive reloading press all set up.

That being said, it is a good idea to keep the calibers down when you're just starting out, but once you have your SHTF selection, you can go a little nuts.

That fits me "gone a little nuts"

I have way too many calibers for practicality. But hey, I enjoy screwing around with different types - just part of the fun.

I have an old Savage Sportsman in 25-20 for example. And I have the dies and components and everything - but this is a totally impractical deal - have no real need for this at all. Ditto for all of my cap and ball shit. But I like em.

Nah man, you need the cap n ball stuff. During the Baralypse, when the ammo was scarce, thats about all I shot. LOL

I have to admit though, this Glock 10 sounds like an extreamly useful weapon. Talk about "the last side arm you will ever need", it looks like that would be it.

Well, since you handload and have a progressive press to boot, it does make sense.

I wouldn't want to have to pay factory ammo prices on 10mm... nope.

Yeah... I'm looking at 10mm prices...

Defiantly a reloaders gun... I'm doing my research now, looks promising.

Remember, the G21SF is identical on the outside... if that helps any. Is there a Cabelas nearby?

On the Glock 20, you could always send it in to Robar and get it robarized like I did my G21. Also, the frame is the same on the 20 & 21. you could drop in a Wolf barrel and go. I researched it extensively, the difference is the 21's slide is 1/3 of an ounce lighter.

I bought 10mm mags and will get the barrel in better times.

On the robarizing, it will change the grip angle to be very like the XD. I have other Glocks and the feel is not uncomfortable from 17 to 22 to modified 21. I'm also going to get a .357 Sig barrel for a G22.

In the rifle department, get a Vz. 58. You can use stripper clips on the rifle so you can carry extra ammo in a shorter bundle. I almost got one instead of an AK. The "The world is full of AK mags", arguement is what tipped the scale. The grip has to be more comfortable than the stock AK, I changed mine to a US Palm grip and it's much more comfortable. The angle is almost the same as the Vz's.

I'll probably get a Vz. before I get an AR, if I ever get an AR.

NO Cabalas, but there IS a Sportsmen's Warehouse about a half an hour away, they have one so I might cruise down this weekend and check it out. I'm in no hurry though as my bonus is still about a month out.

Definatly go fro an AR sooner then later, they are terrific rifles in their own right, super fun to customize and easy to work on.
