O.S.O.K.! Shame on you! It's MAC not MAK. MAK implies a MAK-90 ("Modified A. K.) MAC-10 is named for Military Armament Corp, thus M.A.C. No cookies for you after dinner!

That is a very respectable cyclic rate for a Mac. Most have a ridiculously high RPM. How is this possible Lynx?

I wouldn't call it respectable, just slower. A MAC-10's cyclic rate is about 1100 rpm. That was about 500-550 rpm, not quite half. I was actually surprised at how slow it was.

Linx's M-11 has a LAGE upper on it. It's designed to have a controllable cyclic rate.

Lage Upper. I have one for my Cobray M/11. The mac has become the lego of the entry level machinge gun world. You can turn your Mac into a very reliable subgun with the Lage upper. The last time that I took my M/11 to the range, the guys that owned the range ( who have MUCH more expenive toys than mine) were very impressed with how the upper performed on the M/11. My stock M/11 runs around 1,100 rpm. Lage upper around 650. If I want to shoot slower. I'll shoot the MP 40. Around 550 rpm.

Yes, special equipment - I do remember that. And the bolt on these is like an Uzi - heavy and this makes the recoil heavier.

What do you mean? If you're talking about recoil - its the heavy assed bolt. Same on an Uzi and on the Keltec sub2000. They also recoil a lot more than you'd think. Blowback heavy bolt.

Gotcha. I have never fired a MAC, or even paid attention to one being shot.

The FA's I have had the priveledge "to go all the way" with is very limited.

Even a low recoil impulse at 550 hits a minute still adds up...

ACtually that did not seem to have much kick. I think you're seeing the 'constant push back' that happens when you're firing FA. On lots of FA weapons you almost have to LEAN INTO it if you want to dump a magazine in one shot. I'm lucky. I've fired every major design of the 20th Century at least once. I don't count obscure or impossible to get weapons, but I have access to firing lots of toys. The last FA i fired was the MP7A1 Wasn't mine of course, but it was very interesting.

I went the opposite route with my M11/9. Put on a suppressor and installed a US Machinegun Cube (same as the old MacJack). It is ridiculously fast. Actually easy to control too (you're empty before it starts to climb).
If I had a dollar for every time CAPITALISM was blamed for problems caused by the GOVERNMENT, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap.

12 string guitars only have 6 extra strings, but they're 85 TIMES as likely to be used in a song about wizards.

I like big 'bots and I cannot lie...
I got the model from Bandai.

Almost, no you do HAVE to lean into them or they will tip you over. I don't own any full autos but I was lucky enough to run into a very generous full auto dealer one day at a club I bleonged to. I got to run a Sten MkV, mini uzi, M16 carbine in 9 mm, M11 with rate reducer in it, not a LAGE. It was running 750 rpm. Also an MP5. I've shot Elduce's Uzi and his MP40. Only way to stay on target with any of them is to lean way into them. The easiest ones to hit with were the MP40, MP5 and Sten MkV. A mini uzi runs about 1250 rpm and to flick the trigger is a 3 to 4 round burst. A squeeze and release would probably dump 15 rounds.

Huh? I think that's a typo, but I'll run with it. Yes, I said YOU HAVE TO LEAN INTO IT! LOL But you can withstand it with short bursts. I was specifically coining my term for a full mag dump. (better than sex!!!!)

I was mostly remembering small heavy bolted open bolt guns (Uzi, MAC-10) for slight push back, but serious push back on larger weapons. I really felt it when I was standing and shoulder firing a friend's F/A BAR and FN LAR.

OK, here's a vid of me shooting the MAC10 - with a slow motion segment added. You can see the push-back. I was obviously new to shooting a full auto - having only shot my AK's bumpfire previous to this and they don't push back as much - or maybe it's that I was holding them loosely in order to bump... anyhoo:
