1038 is even before themrmitch was around, not by much but before he was...
Very cool.
Trying to get on the no fly list, one post at a time.
We should take a lesson from those last mortality figures...

Thank you for sharing that. I had never seen fotage of civil war veterns before. I didn't even know there was any. It sure would have been nice if some of them had told some stories from the war.

That was beautiful, well done video. There have been three great generations of Americans thus far in my opinion. Those who fought for independence, those that stood during America’s Armageddon, and those who stormed the beaches during the second great war.
jojo, I had no idea film such as that even existed. Thanks much for the post.

Outstanding!
I am old enough to remember when the last vetran of each army passed.

Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. That's what I get from it anyways.
I have some strong feelings about the failings of our government and our society at large, but I would not see our families, friends, and fellows killing each other settle any one of those beefs. Not even the folks I don't like.
Wow, this was a really great find and post. I never even thought of looking for footage of civil war veterans. I didn't even knew what the rebel yell sounded like, and hearing it from them was really something. Those casualty figures really put it in perspective of how bad and bloody the civil war must have been.
I wonder what those men would think of their country if they time-traveled forward, and saw it today?
