    Starting A Masters Program

Just finished registering and ordering my books for the first class in a Master's in Management program. I will be attending, if you can call it that, Thomas Edison State College in NJ. I will actually be doing all class work and discussions on-line. I expect it to take me about 3 years to finish. The course of study I selected will focus on Project Management. This is something that I enjoy doing and have been doing for the Navy for about 10 years now. This may cut down on my postings, but it is something I need to get done.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Good deal for you. I'm 62 and I'm going to try to go to college and learn physics.

Pray tell, what are you going to do with a degree in physics... at your age? Not that you shouldn't, just curious

I'm 50 and have considered going for an MBA but it would enable me to move up to VP - if I wanted to do that.

But I'm pretty happy being a national sales mgr... headaches yes, but not as many as a VP level.

I've been kinda thinking the same thing... Ga Tech isn't far from me, and has a good program, if I can get good enough grades for a good scholarship. I'm currently taking classes at Gwinnett Tech, but I've already got 2 B's, the B this semester will drop my GPA down to 3.75.

Yup. That is why it will take 3 years to finish. One class every 8 weeks or so, with some time to recoup every once in a while.
