Haz Mat fees to ship ammo?

I'm trying to work out a deal on a parts kit and ammo. Does anyone know if there are haz mat fees for shipping ammo?

    Thanks.

Yup. Think it's $25 IIRC. Just check any site that sells ammo/powder...usually listed somewhere.

I thought the $25 was only for primers or powder not for loaded ammunition.

Good call. I couldn't remember. Just tried the "checkout" at wideners and no hazmat was added for shipping. NAPOTS is correct L1A1.

should be no hazmat for loaded cartridges (vice components), unless the ammo is tracer, incendiary, or HE.

Yeah if loaded no hazmat but the ORM D label is needed, USPO will not handle ammo and they should not be used.

Does UPS provide the "ammo" label or do I have to get that somewhere else?

All I've ever done is write it with a marker on the box but that's been a few years ago.

Used to be orm-d (other regulated material). but sometimes I haul it in pallet form and it's explosives III. But that may be because its many thousands of rounds and sometimes also some smokeless powder.

All I've ever seen for shipping ammo was the "ORM-D" sticker... no big deal.

    Has something changed?
