I'm afraid the projectile would reach terminal velocity unless it's made out of unobtanium
When I was at a hunter safety course some 40 years ago a guy on the range and a huge bench rest rifle that fired something like that but more likely a 22 or 6mm projo in some magnum case (looked like a hypodermic to me) He fired at a far off gong. Had time time to fire, set his ear protection down and wait for the ping down range. there was a slight vapor trail visible when he shot it.
