Che what a terrible idea for an ad campaign

I'm not getting where Mercedes is going with this, although the idea of wearing a Mercedes emblem in his hat is funny on several levels.

    Meh......it got them some headlines.

Like they say there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Would you have heard of this event or even cared if they didn't have had a pic of Che with a Benz emblem on his hat?

My guess...an appeal to the occupy hipster wannabe commie types that are out adventure slumming with the quaint little people in the parks. Gotta remember that mommy and daddy have lots of money to buy them a brand new german engineered beater.

That and some germans probably think che was really not a bad guy, just misunderstood. They have socialists that make our most rabid libtard look like Ron Paul by comparison.
History has a severe case of stuttering complicated by chronic hiccups.
It always repeats itself and it never fails that something will go horribly wrong along the way.

Direct democracy is a gang rape. Eight men vote to rape one woman and the woman has to accept it because the majority decided that it was ok. A constitutional republic on the other hand is eight men and one woman with a full mag. Think about it for a while until it hurts your head.

I think advertising only works if it hits the targeted group it's trying to reach, I would bet the adverage MB buyer is not going to be impressed with the Che ad. I think MB is trying to appeal to a hipper/younger group but in doing so they might just be offending their base buyer with an ad like this.

Apparently they don't understand that the man was a murdering lunatic. This is akin to putting their emblem on a picture of hitler.

What a stupid move. Especially form a German company, they might have well just used hitler in the presentation.

Amazing how society can take a murdering lunatic and popularize it's image. Sad.

The ad is hard-core stupid. This idiocy comes from an advertising agency and not from within MB of that you can be virtually certain. Some dip schitt in marketing just got his/her nuts/tits slammed in a desk drawer for approving this thing. I can just hear him/her and the ad agency chortling about the ad being 'edgy'.

    From the link:

It reproduced a famous Alberto Korda photo of Guevara, the Argentine communist who spearheaded the revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power in Cuba.
This article is written: By M. Alex Johnson, msnbc.com

You can bet M. Alex is either ignorant or a Communist...or both.

Che didn't spearhead shit. Che was perhaps the most incompetent revolutionary of that era. Fidel sent Che to convert Angola to get his dumb ass out of Cuba. Che's incompetence in Angola is the stuff of legends.

I always thought Che should never have been killed as he was a wonderful flag bearer for the Communist. Just another poor little rich boy playing revolutionary.
