Computer guru needed, want to expand volume on Vista

I understand the basics of expanding and shrinking and deleting a volume(pretty neat without third party stuff and instantaneous with Vista) but I cannot get my System drive to expand, no way no how. My system volume is about 29GB C: And I have a D: volume which is 188GB. I do not get the option to expand C:

I've tried shrinking D: copying all the stuff over to another drive letter in the new volume created, deleting D: Still can't expand C:

    WTF?

How many partitions total are you trying to forge out of your primary hard drive?

Have you tried error checking and defragging all drives?

If all else fails, try a free utility like: http://www.partitionwizard.com/
"That tyranny has all the vices both of democracy and oligarchy is evident. As of oligarchy so of tyranny, the end is wealth; (for by wealth only can the tyrant maintain either his guard or his luxury). Both mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms." -- Aristotle, Book V, 350 B.C.E
