Good riddance! My wife is from Canada, and it saddened me when her grandfather told me how the canadian gov't confiscated, "for his own good" I'm sure, pistols he had brought with him when he left Belgium shortly after WWII. Hopefully the handgun registry will be abolished soon. What's the latest info on the handgun registry being dissolved?
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them. ... Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever."--Thomas Jefferson
That is good news congradulations.
Doobie Doobie Doo..
Just about time!
They were told that the registration process would cost somewhere around $5 million.
The latest figure I heard was over $5 billion, and that about only 1/3 of the long guns they think are owned had been registered.
I live close to the border, and you would not believe some of the things I have seen done by their "Government" to save the people from themselves. You'd almost think that they had 'bambam' running the country.
Common sense finally won the day. That and you voted a bunch of liberal scum out too didn't you?
Blood will run in the streets...
