Subject: Fw: The Knob


A woman visited a plastic surgeon
who told her about a new procedure
called 'The Knob,' where a small knob is placed
at the top of the woman's head and
could be turned to tighten up her skin and produce
the effect of a brand new face-lift.
Of course, the woman
wanted 'The Knob.'


Over the course of the years, the woman tightened the knob,
and the effects were wonderful, the
woman remained young looking and vibrant.


After fifteen years, the woman returned to the surgeon
with two
problems.


'All these years, everything has been working just fine...
I've had to turn the knob many times and
I've always loved the results.

But now I've developed two annoying problems:
First, I have these terrible bags under my eyes
and the knob won't get
rid of them.'


The doctor looked at her closely and said,
'Those aren't bags, those
are your breasts.'


She said,
'Well, I guess there's no point in asking
about the goatee.'

Don't know how often I have seen that and it cracks me up every time but it shouldn't.

We fired 3 missiles on consecutive days and all 3 went haywire. One started to tumble and just kept going at a low altitude till it hit the water and sank. Another reversed direction and came back over the ship between the two stacks and if the warhead would have gone off like it should have when it got that close to so much metal we would have been a crippled ship. The third did a little flip and went into the water about 300 yards off the port side aft. We lost track of it of course except for sonar but before they could tell weapons control we all knew where it went because the war head went off about 400 yards starbord side amidships which meant that the damn missile kept moving while underwater instead of self destructing immediately as it should have. We had just picked these missiles up in New York and they wanted them shot up because they were out dated and inadequate. They tried to blame our missile house crew but investigation showed they had faulty tail fins and not our fault. Those were the very last BW missiles fired from a navy ship. The yard had to take them back and find another way to decommission them. God was looking out for poor sailors that week and that is a fact.
