I'm thinking these will mostly be outside pups - we have a nice covered patio on the pond-side and I know we'll spend a lot of time out there - it's in the shade. I'll probably construct a nice doggy condo with covered utility lights in them for warm in the cold weather. Though, they will come in if it gets really cold... or depending on my wife - she may let them in at night when I'm on the road.

    Thumbs up

Of course if you wanted a REAL dog you'd get a Jack Russell Terrier.

He just turned 2 around Thanksgiving and it was two years ago on 2/13 that my wife brought him home, my day early Valentines Day gift.

I tell you Jimmy is hell on wheels. My first JRT slowed down quite a bit after he was nuetered but not Jimmy. He's just like a child. He is full bore until he drops in your lap and then he's out like a light for an hour or two then petal to the metal again til bed time. He knows no fear, takes no shit and he's hell on our big black cat and our pit/lab mix. Fun times at our place.

We had two terriers - welsh terriers. Not nearly as energetic but just as fearless. Both have passed... they just don't live long enough.

Some may remember Blockhead since I posted asking what his breed is. Most suggested part Mastiff and part something else. He has many of the Mastiff features. His weight is approx. 150 lbs. and all muscle.

He made a Hell of a protection dog. No one makes it into the house unless we OK it with Blockhead.

Im gonna say dalmation is in there somewhere. Dalmations are great dogs by the way.

Well ... if there is a big gasoline shortage, you can always ride your dogs to town.

Normally, I don't like having dogs (or cats) around me. However, I will probaly get border collies, since that is what I had as a teenager. They are really smart dogs.
