There is some sort of small tracked vehicle that can be seen from about 51 seconds through about 1:05.

Any idea what the heck that is ??

51 seconds to 1:05? All I see is BIG tanks. No small tracked vehicle. Are you sure you're not talking about earlier in the vid?

Yup....checked again. I saw the small one earlier. This thing looks like an insect on tracks and maybe a couple of small wheels.

I think you're looking at the KETTENKRAD. I don't see anything smaller than that. It's a German hybrid motorcycle/mini halftrack. I used to have one but sold it.

    Really???

That little wheel is gonna turn that thing?

Isn't it like most tracked vehicles where you have a brake for each side to turn?

I driven one. It turns it just fine. When you have to turn more drastically, the action of turning the handlebars engages the track brakes to more closely emulate a tanks' method of turning. Leave it to the Krauts to come up with something so cool yet unpractical.

The quality of the video is indeed disapointing but the museum is quite spectacular as far as I am concerned. They had some huge beasties back then!

Some great cammo paint jobs on that hardware.

I wonder how many (if any) are operational?

There was one of those prominently displayed toward the end of Saving Private Ryan.
