What was the "Gun Group" that turned out to be a Brady Front?

IIRC, it was headed by a retired Football Player as a front man, but the founders and officers were Brady Center employees...

Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed." -attributed to Sara Brady

Nice try. Sarah Brady is a registered Republican and boasts about it on their web-site, along with her husband who got shot defending Ronald Reagan. In fact, the entire leadership of the Brady Bunch is authoritarian Republican from Paul Helmke on down.

No shit. LAGC you're a fucking idiot. The Brady group FUNDS well known Democrats. They have a comfortable home in the DNC. Sure there a RINOs who are soft on gun control, but it takes a real stretch of logic to call the Brady group a Republican one.

Yes. And it matters not if one is rep or dem regarding gun laws. Not in the slightest. And w said he'd sign an awb renewal if set before him. His dad signed the ban on imported parts and naughty features like barrel shrouds, bayonet lugs, etc in 89. There's little to do with patriotism or conservatism in republican circles. They're actors, just like the dems, all working for the same masters.

Bishop, you need to do a little research on this issue. I believe that fact is both Brady & Helmke are registered as republicans. They may be RINO's but they are registered as republicans.

I believe you are correct. But as I once read: When a boot is on your neck, it matters not weather that boot is a left boot, or a right boot.

They're only Republicans as to brag how they're Republicans. Sure James Brady was a Republican under Reagan, but the BRADY GROUP has been welcomed with open arms within the Democratic Party. They're about as Republican as BLoomberg. I just wish they'd change their political registration and be done with it.

And Mrs Brady and the other rinos are not alone, Giuliani hates guns in American hands as does Romney. I'll go out on a limb here that most reps are gun hating rinos. And not all dems hate guns. All I know for sure is political parties are the death of our nation.

Which was the main point of George Washington's farewell speech. Avoiding foreign entanglements was much better advice for a fledgling nation than a powerful one, but good advice nonetheless.

I always figured the Brady Bunch got their marching orders (and probably funding) from George Soros, even if there are some token "Republicans" amongst them.

I think we'd be much better off leaving what we can to itself as far as other countries go. That beiong said, much better to fight insane world domination attempts like nazi Germany and Tojo's Japan on their property and not ours. Today much of the world views America with all our invasions and bombings as the new nazi Germany, however.

Sure they may be 'registered' republicans but so are a ton of RINO's that think like liberal Demokrats. 0bama is a communist but he isn't registered with the American Communist Party, that doesn't make 0re0 any less a communist though.

As far a gun-haters posing as pro-gun, it was done during the Kerry Campaign. This tactic will only fool those who don't read and those who do read but cannot reason through the leftist propaganda ... like LAGC

Brady wasn't "defending" Reagan....he was just standing there when Hinkley started spray firing like a monkey. Heck, the only reason Reagan himself got hit was that one of the bullets ricocheted off the limo.

Think there is any strategy behind them saying they are republican?

Weather or not you are conservative, republican, liberal or democrat has to do with what you believe not what paper you sign so people think you are something.
