    Thumbs up

It's really encouraging seeing stuff like this happen in New England, of all places, the antis' stronghold.

Now, if California eventually comes around, it will spell the death knell of the gun control movement in this country.

    Yahoo!!!!

However, the article is wrong in stating that one needs a permit to own a handgun. It's legal for a law-abiding MD citizen to own a handgun, but it is difficult, if not impossible, to obtain a CCW (and those that are granted to the peons are only for a short duration, usually 2 weeks, after which it is void).

I think the writer confused "owning" with "carrying." But, this is great news!

I'm sure the state will appeal as most liberals don't like to lose, even when they've been proven wrong.

LAGC, MD is not a New England state. Prior to the Civil War, we were considered a southern state and afterwards, a mid-Atlantic state. However, being dead center of the DC-Baltimore corridor, our elected officials do tend towards the liberal side of things.

Really? I thought every state north of D.C. was part of "New England."

Nope, New England is Maine, Vermont, Connecticut. Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
