    I stopped at 5 minutes when he pulled out the hammer to continue disassembly... could you imagine trying to get that thing down to 10 parts... And a frigg'n pulley in it?!!!

    Plus all the intricately molded plastic blocks inside it. No wonder they're not in service.

    That's nuttin'. He ran out of parts....I'd have made more and added them.
    I would have taken apart a cartrage and separated the grains of powder.

    Yes indeedy I would have. Welllll.....maybe. Er no. Actually I couldn't have.

    Putting it back would have blown my mind. It ain't natural.

    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

    It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

    Really! A cable and a pulley? WTF???

    Maybe that's how it does full auto? It bump fires with that pulley (like the shoestring method)?

    Can you imagine the 922(r) list for it?

    * Pulley
    * Cable
    * Cable Retainer
    * Pulley retainer
    * Springy-thingy #1
    * Springy-thingy #2
    * Grip
    * Trigger
    (no wait they are all one piece)
    * Grip - trigger - snappy-thing
    * Receiver (what part is the receiver?)
    * Barrel
    * Bolt
    * Bolt carrier
    * Muzzle device (or whatever the thing was in front).
    * Ad-nauseaum...

    Mikhail Kalashnikov should hunt down and shoot whoever designed that abomination. It's worse than a Stoner rifle!

    Field cleaning an AK:

    (1) Remove dust cover
    (2) Urinate on action
    (3) Replace dust cover

    If I'm not mistaken the pulley is part of a recoil mechanism, the bbl moves as well. This thing has a burst feature that sounds like one round but is two rounds at around 1800rpm or somewhere around there. Neat but a bit complicated. They were tested by Spets and I don't know if they use them anymore. The blob at the end of the bbl is a whistle that converts some of the blast into a ultrasonic range so it's less hard on human ears. Pity the nearby dogs and other animals. Wonder if any American manufacturer has picked up on that idea?
