Say what you will about the Mississippi red necks but they are good folks. They are Americans. And I can tell you from my first hand experience that the ones that she showed were definately on the fringe. Believe it or not, the white folks in Mississippi get along just fine with the black folks there. They are much less "racist" than people in the north than claim not to be racist. They are comfortable with the blacks and reserve judgement until after they talk to a given black person. Because, gasp, many of them are really good people. It's the very nasty minority of them (and the same for whites in truth) that give them all a bad name.
What Pelosi was saying is that we need to start calling things like they really are or we will never get to the root of the problems. And she's right.
