Thread: norinco sks

    norinco sks

    i have a norinco sks and as i was shooting it the gas tube and piston blew off the gun and hit me and the latch had come disconnected. i was able to poot the gun back together and everything fits. i am a little hesitant to shoot it agen.

    i was wondering if this has happened to any body else and what i can do to prevent it from happening agen

    pleas help

    The latch was prolly not completely closed. Disassemble, inspect, reassemble with attention to detail. If comfortable with assembly fire, if not seek
    instruction. Welcome to the forum.

    Agree. That latch should be hard to move and there should be basically no wiggle in the gas tube.
    History has a severe case of stuttering complicated by chronic hiccups.
    It always repeats itself and it never fails that something will go horribly wrong along the way.

    ...yup, there should be a little "detent" hole
    the latch will lock into when you move it down far enough.
