c&r log book entry

i hope some of you can answer this dumb question for me. when i buy a rifle from Aim Surplus do i put them in the manuf or importer description place in the log book or do i put the importer name on the side of the receiver which is in this case pw arms redmond wa. thanks for the help.

If I am able to determine the importer, I but that down, if I dont know, I put who I bought it from, not sure if that is correct, but just what I have always done

The description entry is supposed to accurately describe the maker and/or importer of the firearm.

The last entry, "acquired from", records the FFL or person you got it from.
