Those years are considered 1st Generation Camaros. My personal preference is the '69.
Body lines and trim were unique to that year. This was the basis for the current Camaro styling. The '69 was also the most popular of those years. Over 243,000 were made. There were just over 220,000 of the '67 Camaro's and slightly more than 235,000 of the '68 Camaro's made. The '69 also offered the widest range of motors. They started with the L6 250cid inline 6 cylinder all the way up to the ZL1 427cid V8. All of these years are popular. But if I had to pick one it would be the '69. Just my $0.02.

After today, it's all historical.
Years ago I owned a nice 67 Camaro. 327 A/T. It was red with a black interior. I probably should of kept it but I had several at the time an the wife was whining so I sold that one, a 64 Impala, and a 72 Landcruiser all within about 2 weeks time.
I'll have to go with the '69 as well. I'm kind of an oddball though.....my personal preference is the 1970 Z-28 RS with the split bumper.
This is off subject but would you mind enlarging your text? Old guys like me hate to squint.
Thanks.
Back on subject.
I owned a 1968 Z-28 back in high school. British Racing Green w/white stripes.
302 cu in w/factory headers in the trunk. It was rated 290 HP for insurance purposes, but it was over 400.
"Rock Crusher" close ratio 4 speed. 411:1 limited slip pos. Factory Rally wheels.
It was the fastest factory car I've owned. Not a lot of top end (120 mph), but getting there was FAST and FUN.
I sold it 3 yrs. later. A BIG regret.
Here's an exact car I had except for the color. Shown as a reference only.

I'm a bit in favor of the '69 flavor, but then I've owned one for 31 of the last 33 years. My project is called "Time Warped", cause of all the diff years parts going in her!
Here is a link to my build, project got put on hold due to funds and wanting to repair my relationship. Getting ready to get busy on her again!

Here is one shot of the front so far.
2001 Z-28 LS1/T56 6 speed, custom frame with cast aluminum a arms and spindles, all hand polished by moi, coil overs, rack & pinion, lots of goodies and more to go!!!
I had a 69 SS. Sold it to buy a John Deere riding mower. Man do I wish that I still had that car!!
I had an 86 Z with a 305. It of course can't touch the first gen setups. I really like the 68 because of the compacted trunk and the rounded rear wheel well. They are all good. The third gens can be nice if they aren't all cheese balled out with tacky shit. I have seen some of them go down the track making freaking haste.
I think my favorite would have to be the '69 Yenko.
And no I dont own one

I really like the new styling of the camaro but the costs is very prohibitive.
