Heard on another site that the korean m1 garands and m1 carbines have been blocked from import by obama......basically because importing them could lead to 'accidents' and terrorists and drug smugglers getting ahold of them......

Well, he has a point. I mean, look at how many terrorist organizations use the Garand and the Carbine as their arm of choice. Keeping them out of America will keep us safe.
Ok, no terrorist would use a Garand or a Carbine. Ammo is expensive, they are more useful if you practice with them as "one shot one kill" type weapons, etc, etc, etc.
How many drug smugglers have you ever seen with either rifle. These things, while very effective, are 50-70 years old. This is not the weapon they are trying to get. Idiocy.

not finding it mentioned on the news though......might check the cmp website, but doubt THEY'LL talk about it. Hell, they probably are in on it, as they don't want 4-500 doller garands hitting the market....then they can't rape the american consumer anymore by charging 600+ for rifles that are essentially GIVEN to them.......
