    Hello and Good Morning

I've been lurking for several months and I decided to finally join up here.
You guys are seriously intelligent about everything that's been brought up, so here's
my MAK-90 and what I don't know about it.

I bought it, in kind of a trade deal, so I dont really know how much I paid for it.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it is legal or not, is it milled?...how much it is worth, etc.

The guy that sold it to me told me not to take it to a indoor public gun range because it might not pass close scrutiny, as far as its legality is concerned.(?)

    Thanks for your help!

    Welcome to the group !!!

Hope you don't mind me adding your photos for those of us that have a thing about clicking on links.

As to indoor ranges, many are not set up for rifle velocities which is why the MAK-90 and most other "rifle caliber" long guns are not allowed.

Your MAK-90 is a stamped receiver, made of folded sheet metal and riveted together. Has a very nice looking stock set! Value these days is $500 and up. More people are getting into our hobby, and because of the trampling of our rights, the number of Norincos in this country is fixed. Add that to panic buying is driving the price up.

As to legality, it is only the person who removed the Bush-hole stock who was bound to meet the sporting purpose clause of the new second amendment as defined by ATF, and 922(r) or Title 27 CFR 478.39 which states there can be no more than 10 imported parts if you change the configuration of an imported rifle. Technically it only applies to the person who converted it, not subsequent owners.

Nice rifle, enjoy it, this site and again welcome!!

Nice furniture! I'd love my 91 to look like that or similarly styled, haven't decided yet which way I want to go with it yet.

    Thanks for your help!

I do like it a lot and don't plan on selling it anytime soon...just wondering what I have here.

I also got a drum mag, 8 30 round clips and much, much ammo in the deal so I think I made out okay.

    Thanks again.

For your info, and to help you sound more authoritative in the future, AK variants use "magazines". Garands use "clips".

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

    Welcome to the board

Silly (but personal) question not yet asked. What state do you live in?

If you live somewhere like Commiefornia or Taxachusetts it could possibly be an issue.

REALLY nice looking furniture on the rifle too btw.

    Nice Mac!

You have a nice unit there, it will give you years of service, unless of
course you want to sell it to me, then it will give me years of service.

    Just me and my monkey....
