Thumbs up Mississippi home build update

OK, here's the update - starting with the house as it looked one month ago:

    And yesterday:

As you can see, we are getting closer! The inside is getting done too - all plumbing is stacked out, electric roughed in and sheetrock hung and floated - they come back on Monday to sand. The painters have started today - staining the cyprus with a transparent, grey stain - is looking good! The framers are completing the exterior with the small crimp, corregated, galvanized steel on the gable ends and under the porches. The garage door goes up Tuesday. Gettin gutters today. The framers will finish next week with the install of the wood burning stove and solatube skylights in the back rooms (they need this bad - is like a cave in them).

So far mostly on budget... the cabinets will come for install end of next week hopeully and then all appliances and fixtures... followed by trim-out and lastly, flooring.

Been a busy month... thank God that my sales are kicking ass - my boss is leaving me alone - he does know what's going on but because of the super performance (my division is posting 40+% growth this month on top of 22% for the year through April) he is being very good about it.

Really looking forward to the finish out and move in!

We are really pumped about the attic space - its about 1200 square feet of open, decked storage - very much needed! It will allow us to move in two or three trips as needed, just renting a U-Haul - vs. the $5K it would take for a pro mover...

I'll have more pics later - just thought I'd give you a quick update - sitting in McDonald's using the internet lol.

That's great OSOK. Are you going to put in a water collection tank off the gutters? We just put in a 1500gl tank last week. It got filled this week!!!

Looking very good OSOK. I once again find myself very envious!
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them. ... Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever."--Thomas Jefferson

    Looking good!!

Glad to see there are no vent pipes poking through the metal roof. I had all my vent pipes turned to the peak of the roof, but not through the roof. No "smelly" problems doing so.

Your house is looking good, and I am still looking.

Thanks guys. The house is now almost complete on the outside. There will be a metal pipe chimney coming up from the wood burning stove... And three solatube skylights - all along the back roof. I will post a "step by step" progression of picks when I can.
