The colt was not original,it had been bastardized and sporterized, only had a $100 in it.The French only spent $300 on it with the dies and brass.By my books I made I came out ahead on the deal. The G27 was $425 new and the mag was $20 they covered the tax and all.

If you're happy with it...that is all that matters.

Now for the important stuff, do you have any 7.5 French ammo you now want to sell

I had 60 rounds that I shot through it.The brass went with the rifle. That was part of the reason for the sale.

Ohhh... man I love the MAS 49/56! One of my favorite MBR's... Oh well, I hope you enjoy your new toy!

The storm lake barrel that I got for my G20SF was drop-in and fits perfectly. These have fully supported chambers and standard rifling so you can use hard cast boolits.

FWIW I've got the Lone Wolf 9x19 conversion barrel in my G35. It was a drop in fit and function with G17 mags has been flawless. Their G27 conversion barrel is $50 cheaper than what Storm Lake offers. Something to consider.
