Mind blowing, but it makes you wonder, since George Bush the First created a shortage of these rifle, just like a painting from one of the Masters, you don't run into a Poly Tech double underfolder in this condition too often, so it becomes a seller's market. Amazed that there is a bid for $2400!!!

Unfortunately, limited number, more people entering the sport, more desire for a factory beauty like this, price gets way up there!

For that kind of money there are much better firearms available; I don't look at AK's as collector items, they are tools to be used and enjoyed! What good is one in that condition? Nothing more than a safe queen.

I wonder what they'd be selling for new if there was no restriction on their import.

    I'd guess around $400-$500

It sold for the buy it now price of $3300!!!!!!!!!

NAPOTS, if there were no restrictions on imports, the prices would probably be through the floor as our market would have been flooded with not only the Chinese, but the Romanians, Hungarians, Bulgarians, Yugos, and many others that are now coming in as parts to be rebuilt here.

Just looking back on how many Romanians came in before ATF cracked down on Receivers that were able to use standard mags. SARs by the ton!

I agree with you, if there were no import restrictions, SARs would still be under $300, and just because of standard inflation, the Chinese rifles would be in the $400 to $500 range, with probably the milled legends pushing the $700 mark because I believe they would have remained a high line limited build rifle.

Sad isn't it, especially for new people trying to get into this hobby.
