The rear back up is the ARMS 40-L. Pricey, but I'm sure you'd like it.

How that red dot work for ya? Pretty good alternative to an aimpoint or eotech?
I'm embarassed to admit that I haven't shot with it yet. I got it for Christmas! DAMN, 7 months ago. I'll tell you that it definitely seems like a great red dot. Solid, high quality and very nice. If you order one, I recomend optics planet and get the high AR mount. I have an eotech, never had an aimpoint. This seems as nice for alot le$$.

I have a Vortex strikefire on my Robinson Arms M96. The 4 MOA dot is crisp, but when shooting in full sunlight, I need to set it on the highest brightness setting when using the red dot. It also has a green dot, and it remembers the last brightness setting before you turned it off. Supposedly, it has an 800 hour battery life on medium settings. I have owned mine for over a year and have not had to replace the battery yet. My strikefire has a battery saving auto-shutoff feature which turns the sight off after 2 hours. The newer version has a 6 hour shutoff, which seems like a better alternative. The sight has front and rear flip up lens cap covers which fit too tight. I had to take a dremel tool and trim a little plastic on the inside rim to make them snap closed without undue force. Other than that, it's a pretty good red dot for the price. Solidly built and Vortex has a lifetime guarantee. The sight also comes with a free high or low mount.

Nice rifle. I just built something similar except I used an A2 upper. I loved the A2 stock so much I put one on another rifle, too. Nice and Simple.

Hey Ten-32,
How do you like that predator? Been thinking about getting one. I like RRA, especially for the money. Will it actually shoot 3/4 MOA?
All nice looking rifles, but really like that SBR!!!
Mine is a Police trade in DPMS M4-A3 with an EOtech. Need to upload a pic, will post one later, need to go play some raquetball!
How's the stability with just the one ring (similiar to Aimpoint) ? Can a second ring be added towards the rear ? If stability becomes an issue try GGG cantilever design made for single ring stability applications .... Overall rifle looks rad !!!
OK here is a few pics of my RRA LAR-8 (7.62X51MM) to get things started.
Got this one in early Jan of this year, I love it.
Here is my go to rig. POF piston M4A3 upper on a pre ban Bushmaster lower, DD free float Omega rails, Eotech (NV compatable), Aim Point 4X flip to the side magnifer, ect.
And My truck gun.
I built this one in early spring just for that purpose. All DSA (midlength) except for the DPMS chrome bolt assy and Bushnell red dot sight that co witnesses with the irons perfectly.

That is D-Shiznit, BL33D. I've got VEPRs in 7.62x39 and 5.45, but still need to find one in .223 to complete the collection. They're by-far the baddest AKs ever made......as long as you don't mind toting the heavy bitch around. I'd be willing to bet that with the same ammo and optic that it would be comparable to an AR in accuracy, but would smoke the AR in reliability. If you ever decide to sell it, let me know first.
