Great pics. Thanks for sharing. It's interesting to see that not many people were smiling. I wonder if they could "sense" the change that was coming in their near future...
Very interesting, I followed the link to the Library of Congress and viewed several others from the same collection.
Very cool pix! Thanks for sharing.
Wow cool pictures hard to belive that they are about 100 years old.
Doobie Doobie Doo..
WOW is right, that cathedral just jumped right out and grabbed me, i wonder if its still there and in the same condition. I would love to see the inside and go to mass.

Great find. Thank you for posting them...
It is interesting that in my head I know that everything back then was in color, why wouldn't it be, and seeing pics like that is very cool...but still, somehow the other side of my brain refuses to accept the past in anything other than black and white
I tried to find some modern views of the old scenes, but did not come up with much. It would be cool to see modern shots of some of the more famous landmarks, such as the cathedrals, shot from the same location.

Incredible photos, thanks for posting the link.
In some of them you almost feel like you could reach out & touch the people or talk to them. Hard to believe they were taken a century ago.
