My wife got me a new Xikar cutter and 2 Macanudo Vintage 2000 Churchills in glass tubes. I've never been a big Macanudo fan but these are supposed to be excellent. I'll report back.

Thanks guys. The cigar was good but a bit mild for my taste. The second half proved more fulfilling. The burn was razor sharp and straight, the ash was tight and very white. The construction was a bit tight and perfectly uniform for the full length of the stick, but the draw seemed unaffected. I decided to go with a straight cut since I got the new Xikar. I would guess a punch or v-cut would make the draw an issue. All in all a quality smoke, but there are many I'd prefer for $20. These are being billed as the last of the Macanudo "Vintage" runs, so if you are at all inclined to try one do it now.

Happy belated Birthday, hombre!
Macanudo makes some pretty fine smokes in my experience.
You have a good wife. Mine just likes to bitch @ me every time I fire up a stogie nowadays. And to think this is the gal that once bought me a nice humidor, & occasionly some good smokes to put therein. (sob )
